Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 April 2026

Jupiter Research and Advisors Pvt. Ltd. (“Jupiter Advisory”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a SEBI-Registered Research Analyst (Reg. No. INH000026008), is the Data Fiduciary for this website and respects your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP 2023”), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and applicable SEBI regulations.

This policy applies to current clients, prospective clients, and visitors to www.jupiteradvisor.in.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal data only with your knowledge and where we have a lawful basis to do so:

  • Contact form data — name, email, phone number, and any message you send us. Used to respond to your query.
  • Service subscription data — KYC details required by SEBI (PAN, address, risk profile), payment information, and communication preferences.
  • Technical & analytics data — IP address (anonymised), browser type, device, pages visited, time on page, referrer, and approximate geographic region. Collected through Google Analytics 4 only after you grant consent via our cookie banner.

2. Cookies & Google Analytics

Our website uses cookies and a small number of locally stored keys to function and, where you consent, to measure usage.

  • Essential — required for the site to function securely (for example, a value that records your cookie choice). Always on.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-1G510E2DVL) — set only if you click “Accept analytics” on our cookie banner. These cookies help us understand traffic sources, popular pages, and device usage in aggregate. Google LLC acts as a data processor. Data is retained for 14 months and IP addresses are anonymised before collection.

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link. Rejecting analytics does not affect your ability to use our services.

3. Purpose of Processing

We use your personal data only for clearly defined purposes:

  • To respond to contact enquiries and deliver the advisory services you subscribe to.
  • To comply with SEBI (Research Analyst) Regulations, 2014, KYC, and record-keeping obligations.
  • To send service-related communications (signals, reports, account notices). Marketing messages are sent only where you have opted in.
  • To measure website performance in aggregate, where you have consented to analytics cookies.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only where strictly necessary:

  • With regulators (SEBI, exchanges, NISM) as required by law.
  • With service providers acting on our behalf — hosting, payment gateway, email and SMS delivery, and Google LLC (analytics). All processors are bound by confidentiality and DPDP-aligned contracts.
  • In response to lawful legal orders from Indian authorities.

5. Your Rights Under DPDP 2023

As a Data Principal, you have the right to:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction & erasure of inaccurate, incomplete, or no-longer-needed personal data.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, with the same ease as granting it. Withdrawal does not affect lawful processing already carried out.
  • Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.
  • Grievance redressal — a readily available means to voice concerns (see Section 9 below).

To exercise any of these rights, email info@jupiteradvisor.in with the subject line “DPDP Request”. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purpose collected, or for the minimum period required by SEBI and the Income-tax Act (currently five years after the end of the client relationship). Analytics data collected via Google Analytics 4 is retained for 14 months and then automatically deleted.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — TLS/HTTPS for all traffic, encrypted storage of KYC records, access controls, and periodic reviews — in line with the IT Act and SEBI’s cybersecurity framework. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you not to share passwords or OTPs with anyone, including our staff.

8. Communication & DND

By registering your mobile number or email, you consent to receive service-related communications (signals, reports, account notices). You can opt out of promotional messages at any time by replying STOP to an SMS, clicking “unsubscribe” in any email, or writing to info@jupiteradvisor.in. If your number is registered on the DND registry, your consent to receive calls and SMS from us is treated as explicit opt-in.

9. Grievance Officer

In compliance with the DPDP 2023 and Rule 5(9) of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021, the following individual has been appointed as our Grievance Officer for privacy-related complaints:
